As part of the #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, North India Section of the Textile Institute Manchester (NISTI Regd), organised its first of the series of commemorative lectures on 7th Aug 2022.
Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar of Texas Tech University presented a 90-minute invited talk on “Technical Textiles: Quo Vadis?” The talk focused on the current status of Indian technical textiles and the ways to grow it. It was followed by energetic interaction involving industry leaders and Ministry of Textiles-India officials among others.
The online event that lasted more than 2 hours was attended by industry leaders, Government of India officials, such as Joint Textile Commissioner, Governing Board members of leading textile associations such as The Textile Association-TAI India, students and academicians.
